Thunder cracked overhead as rain hammered the cargo ship’s deck. Waves slammed against the hull while two fighters circled each other beneath flickering floodlights. One was a rogue agent, bruised but determined. The other, a towering assassin in tactical armor, swung a steel chain like a whip. It lashed out, slicing through crates. The agent ducked, rolled, and grabbed a flare from the deck. With a strike, it ignited in a burst of crimson light. He hurled it, blinding his opponent, then charged. They collided, fists slamming like hammers. The ship lurched violently as missiles struck the water nearby. Flames rose along the horizon. The assassin lifted him and threw him across the deck, but the agent slid to a stop beside a mounted harpoon gun. Smiling through blood, he pulled the trigger.
